Tile Failure Virtual Consultation

Home owners and builders often resolve differences with a tile contractor without the need for a legal expert. They just need to be armed with the right information to know how to plan a project, reorganize one, or even bring one to a halt. These consultations could sometimes be looked at as more of a conversation. You are not required to retain me for any other service, this is simply a question and answer format, with me trying to impart as much knowledge as I can in one hour. This is usually by Zoom and is $125. Payment can be in the form of Zelle or by credit card.

An example is a lady spoke with me about how she was concerned that the tile on her wall seemed to be very far off the wall, as if the installer was using too much thin-set. She was absolutely correct, simply by her holding the phone up to the work I could see that this installation was more than likely spot bonded. I explained why this was problematic and recommended that she stop the work. Within the next day she had me over to look it over and write a report. She shared the report with the contractor. Begrudgingly, the contractor agreed to remove the tile and install it correctly. This was in part because the homeowner was not going to stand for this dangerous practice and warned him that legal action would follow if the situation was not rectified.

A homeowner called me prior to undertaking a tile installation himself. He had some skills but needed more direction to make sure he executed the project without bringing on a headache. He had questions about layouts, underlayments, order of events, materials, and timing. I gave him a complete outline on how his project should move forward, and difficulties he might encounter along the way. After his initial Zoom meeting we had one more during his work, when other trades prevented him from moving forward with the initial plan. He had a great result and I was very happy to have had a small part in his success.
